Police arrest Wailea man for credit card theft and forgery

Sometime in May 2017, Detectives with the Maui Police Department Criminal Investigation Division began investigating 33 year old Adam Nettlefold, an Australian national who was living in Wailea. Detectives had received information that Nettlefold was using a false identity and was involved in financial and identity crimes.

On May 22, 2017, search warrants were executed at Nettlefold’s residence in Wailea. In addition, an arrest warrant for Nettlefold was served and he was arrested for the offenses of Theft of Credit Card, Forgery in the Second Degree and Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information. His bail was set at $250,000.

Additional search warrants were executed in the days following his arrest as the Detectives and Special Agents with the FBI Maui Office continued to investigate. More criminal charges are likely to follow.
