Search Warrant Leads to Drug Arrest in Napili

On Tuesday, members of the Maui Police Department’s Vice Division Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant on 58-year-old James McDonald at his residence in Napili.

Officers had received multiple complainants of heavy foot and vehicle traffic in the late evening hours and suspected drug activity at this residence.

MPD officials say McDonald was located at the residence along with an adult male identified as 46-year-old Sitenili Kafoa and an adult female identified as 39-year-old Crystal Blumke.

As a result of the search, crystal methamphetamine, imitation crystal methamphetamine, paraphernalia associated with the use, sale and distribution of narcotics, $500 in U.S. currency, counterfeit $100 bills, an electric stun gun, a BB gun and ammunition were recovered as evidence.

McDonald, Kafoa and Blumke were placed under arrest for Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Second Degree, Promoting a Dangerous Drug in the Third Degree, Deadly Weapons Prohibitions, Forgery in the First Degree and Prohibited Acts Related to Drug Paraphernalia.  

All three were later released pending further investigation.
