PWF spots its first humpback of the whale sighting season

It’s official…the first humpback whale sighting of the season is now in the books. The Pacific Whale Foundation’s Ocean Explorer spotted the humpback Monday morning about 2.5 miles north of Molokini heading toward Ma’alaea harbor. At approximately 12:42 a.m. on Tuesday morning, Central Dispatch was notified of a possible structure fire at 857 West Kaena Place in the Wai’ehu Heights subdivision.
